Guhle gets a point on a 1 assist night when his team puts up 11 on Austria. He was also on the ice for both goals the Austrians scored, flailing and out of position on the first one

I'll give up Guhle and Wright and Suze for Bedard.

Must say the League's greed is on full display with how games are going ahead in the US with full capacity and no masks yet the US has the worst Covid death toll of any country on the planet. Yet games in Canada are being cancelled by the League because of the 50% capacity rule when Canada has one of the best Covid records in the western hemisphere and Europe.

Two major issues in an otherwise ok game from him.
One...if I'm his coach, the next time he takes himself out of position to make a hit, he better bring tweezers to get the splinter out of his butt because he's riding the pine.
Two....NEVER let an opposing forward behind you. EVER. That PP goal was not on him directly but he's suppose to be the lead defenseman and should of made sure he and his partner had the forwards in front of them. Trying to stick check the guy when he's playing footsie with his goalie is TOO LATE.
One of the players that came up our system was Beaulieu. He had all the tools but never learned how to use them in proper order. He pinch when he shouldn't, he never got the message about not letting forward get behind you, never developed enough hockey IQ to become as good as his tool belt could make him. He never learned from his mistakes.
I'm not comparing him to Guhle, but I am concerned that he's repeating his mistakes. I don't think any coach told him to cripple opposing players and then play hockey. So play hockey and if the opportunity presents itself, go for it. If he's aspiring Weber, I don't see Weber trying to plater anyone on the wall every second play.
He's got the tools and the attitude, but there is work to be done. Hopefully, tonight he will shine.
