Coming to town ….thankgod they finally got a warm body to try and save what maybe left of Primeau. Not sure Primeau is a NHL starter but it was cruel watching him get fed to the wolves.

Yeah, they needed someone to throw into games to get Primeau back to Laval and not getting overwhelmed every night he starts. At least this is a sign that Horton (Hughes/Gorton) will take player development more seriously. And it sounds like Monty’s wrist is still not 100%, so they cannot keep overplaying him either. In the end, it is still nowhere near a good enough NHL tandem but it is a stop gap until one of Allen or Price return to play. And who doesn’t want a guy with the nickname of the Hamburglar on your team?
Baddock played his role well with Laval. With Pezzetta still hanging around in Montreal and Baddock gone, the Rocket have lost both their tough guys (who both can play decent shifts of hockey too).

I heard Price was on his way back but stubbed his toe on his fishing box when he was out there fighting his darkness and wont be back until 2025 when coincidently, his contract expires.
Sad news.
Meanwhile, another 4th rate goalie to really incentivize the troops to play their little tin hearts out!
Great news.

I was looking him up and saw that yesterday was his birthday. Hes 34. Happy Birthday - here's an NHL job for you. Looks like he has played just one NHL game since 2017. So far this seasons it's been Allen, Montembault, Primeau and McNiven. And now Hammond. Am I missing anybody?

Well, this is needed. Though I have to admit that I am literally drawing a total blank on the Hamburglar's name and approximate age.
What happened to Baddock? I understand why management is not sending Pezzetta down. Given what he showed this season, I believe he would get picked up and it would be foolish to lose a team guy like Pezzetta who I think would ideally be the regular 4th line LW next season.

Jeje, that's it, thanks. And you confirmed that he is 34? I would have guessed older. Heck, I was thinking Montreal might be keeping tabs on the Slovakian league to gauge Budaj's readiness for a return to the NHL.

Ya, he turned 34 only yesterday. Not sure if it was your intention but I laughed out loud when I saw Budaj's name.

Okay, now I get it, Baddock got traded for the Hamburglar. I suppose my initial thought was waiver pickup.
Do the Lions have a tough guy who could come up to Laval and not embarrass himself in terms of skating and hockey?
