Only issue with the Cat was his salary/cap hit. Thanks again Berg... 1 year to RFA and it will take 9 or 10 aav to sign him long term... not sure if the Sens will do that... Tkachuk, stutzle, Norris and chabot... those 4 will eat half their cap |

I would have loved to get DeBrincat, I wanted him in his draft year... but I dont think 13th plus would have done it... a 40 goal guy for 13th? I still think Montreal was trying to get Debrincat and settled for Dach To me that’s not following this supposed master plan It’s my belief if they pulled the trade with Ottawa (Anderson / Dvorak rumour) , they trade for Debrincat and draft Wright That trade fell through and they saw they could probably get Dach and drafted Slafkovsky while completing that trade What about the contract and the large QO? Do you think the Habs would commit long term at about 8 million per? |
