On the advice of doctors, Edmundson not playing today and not even making the trip to Philly. Corey called up. Claque is on IR so not available.

Once again, one wonders just what was going on with some players during that playoff run. Weber - career over, Price - who knows?, Edmundson - completely uncertain health status. Were they playing through injuries and perhaps shouldn't have been? The number of injuries this year seems like more than just normal variance.

This is the team I thought we had from the beginning of the season. If that excellent fisherman didn't go fishing for the entire season, we wouldn't be on our backs looking at everyone's butt.....
It's also the reason I don't want to blow up the team. You can't trade decent NHLers for endless hope and dreams.
We can build on what we have....

Agreed... but You have to trade Chiarot, Allen and Armia (if there are takers) and I hope Hughes has a very heartfelt convo with Chiarot about re-signing here. We still keep most of our pieces and we add picks or ready to go prospects.

Well, if we had to win this one, at least we gave the Flyers a point so we don't make up too much ground. But that was a crazy ending. If I'm the Flyers, I am choked to be scored while on the PP with a one goal lead with a minute to go. Ouch!
But the hockey Gods were at play. Sure Wideman deserved an interference penalty but this sham of getting to review the call because the refs missed it by issuing a major penalty is a joke and makes the league look bush - what else is new. So the Gods said "Sure, twist the rules to try and have a replay review on a non-call penalty but we will let the PK team score to call out the sham that is called reffing".
Cole had a terrible game, but these snipers that we haven't had for decades only need one chance to get the goal. Bingo!

Memories of Lafleur or Richer ripping down the wing and blasting a slap shot in full motion. And what a pass by Pitlick.

Cole had a terrible game, but these snipers that we haven't had for decades only need one chance to get the goal. Bingo! Patches was very close to being a sniper but he would go cold for stretches, I hope Cole will be a consistent scorer, goals or assists... patches had the size, speed and fearlessness (until the ape took him out). Josh is more like Patches but with an edge. Let's hope Cole can build up some speed, then he will truly become a weapon of mass destruction... CC-Suze-PowerHorse... WMD line...

On Rem Pitlick, since we cornered the Pitlick market........I'm trying to wrap my head around why a guy who was scoring at a .570 clip was waiver material. Are the Wild the next version of the 75 Habs that are so loaded they got rid of a decent bottom 6?
Whatever. The kid looks good BUT I haven't paid too much attention to see if he's flawed in other areas. I see he's -1 with 16 points which means he's either scored on early in his Habs start or he's a bit of a 200 ft liability...or he's on a defensive line.
Someone else can comment on that....
BTW...Tyler is out for a long time and nobody is saying why. Do we assume that there is something like "abuse" here? Given that there is very few times that injuries are not reported, it leaves room for speculation.

That line has the perfect combination of size, smarts and horses. On another site which shall remain nameless, I see the occasional "trade" thread. Sure, let's talk about how much LeClair Lite is worth and it starts with a young number 1 defenseman or young top center. Otherwise...FO. (Is it a surprise that I get banned often from there?)

But I've posted before, he seems to be prone to making dumb ass plays on simple plays: not know when to dump it in and making turnovers at blue line when we have a one goal lead with less than 5 minutes to go. Maybe he can learn. Marty was speaking highly of him yesterday, so let's see.
