Tyler Pitlick makes his Habs debut tonight.
Drouin out for COVID protocols (close contact). 😮 He and Suzuki missed practice yesterday taking treatment days.

Adam Nicholas has been up working with the Rocket and Habs for most of the last three weeks. Here he is doing some one on one with Barron. That seems to indicate that we are not going to see Barron in tonight if he is doing extra work after practice. This commitment to skills and skating development throughout the whole organization is a breath of fresh air.

Caufield's assist is his 31st point
He ties Sergio Momesso and Petr Svoboda for 46th on the Habs all time Rookie scoring list

Armia all alone ... can't score
Evans on a breakaway ....can't score
This is why we can't have nice things

That Duclair goal was a high stick, the contact with the puck was at the height of Savards face, how is that a goal

So Anderson trips a player. The ref next to it, doesn't call it. The Habs push the puck in deep, no whistle (whistle is suppose to blow on delayed penalty) ... then the Habs play it again and the ref down on the other side of center, calls the trip.

The boys are playing the highest scoring team in the league and they are holding their own, both Knight and Allen are playing lights out

HuGo... just buy hoffman out, he is useless I hate his face I don't disagree with your assessment or wishes. But Hoffman actually played one of his better games tonight - still not good enough. I guess he was pumped to play his old team. Not impressed with guys who only show up when they're motivated for themselves. This rebuild will be of no use as long as Hoffman and Drouin are on the team.

He was the reason the time with Allen pulled did nothing... he has zero IQ, and what he was brought in for he can't do anymore, his shots are weak and in inaccurate

These are the kind of games that will hold up down the stretch.
1. The young guys (Suzuki, Caufield, Romanov, etc.) play well, gain the trust of their coach, and continue to grow and develop.
2. The team shows its pride and compete level by taking one of the top teams in the league down to the wire. These games are fun to watch again.
3. With no points, the team maintains its favourable positioning for a good draft pick(s) to make up for this gong show season.
4. And the bonus…Habs goaltending still looks better than two of the Canadian teams in a playoff position. Hmmmm.
