Wow, 80s Tortorella looking, well, youthful. Seeing those all blues from last season (or was it two seasons ago) reminds that I hope the Habs never sport that look again.
Even though Price has been on the ice quite a bit in practice of late, there is no way management/coach want to throw him into a building that has been a house of horrors for Montreal with that freakin' cannon. I do, however, wonder if Price will start one on the back-to-back slate this weekend.

I gotta believe Carey's first start will be at home. If I were the coach, I would have him sit on the bench as the back up for his first game to get feel for the game that he's been away from for almost a year.

Savard has certainly gone back to playing like the dummy he is. Brutal giveaway leads to a goal

Sportsnet Ontario with 2 Habs games on this week during the Monday to Friday period. That's more than they have had on in several months.

Boys look terrible thus far, getting hemmed in the d-zone, guys just running around and getting pushed off pucks.
Anyone surprised that Tyler Pitlick has dressed for quite a few games? He is 30 years old and does not really bring much of anything to the table. Hockey is debatable, but I am assuming Montreal re-signs Pezzetta so would it not make more sense to further his development with these games to conclude the season than to give them to a guy who would seemingly have no future with the club?

This game has a shut-out feel to it. Habs just can't get anything working in the offensive zone

CBJ seems to have lots of movement and set plays off rushes ....Habs got none
Caufield needs to shoot in the offensive zone. He keeps looking to pass to Suzuki.
The Cauli-Flower needs to learn, this is Mutual Omaha's Cole's Kingdom , and not Suzuki's Nature of Things

This game is a yawner ... I don't think Merz has had to stop one high scoring chance yet

Hoffman not only doesn’t know the meaning of the word “defense”, he doesn’t know how spell it and he thinks it belongs in a foreign language. What a stupid slash that was 180 feet from our net.
Poehling tips a shot to close the gap to 2.

Did i say that Anderson is useless? Looks great walking off the bus and then has to lace up.

Did i say that Anderson is useless? Looks great walking off the bus and then has to lace up. Pathetic effort on the back check as his man Roslovic made it 2 zip. No way a man his size should be so weak

Romanov with a half-assed pinch leading to a 2 on 1 and the 5th Columbus goal I know we have to lose but does it have to be so ugly

The good news is we lost another in our hunt for a top pick. The bad news is we are in desperate need of a top pick as these guys are useless. Hoffman, Pitlick x 2, Armia, Gally, Savard and Petry are not only hurting us on the ice, but on the cap too. Hughes has got some work to do.
Best part of the game was seeing Poehling playing like his first NHL game. The guy is one strong skater. He will certainly be a top bottom 6, and maybe provide some net presence on the PP.

Habs at Nationwide too often end up being frequent cannon fodder.
Normally I would be concerned, but let’s just get through this last stretch.
