The effort was there, but in literally seconds the Schueneman miscue changed the complexion of the entire game. For sure, the boys could have used more high quality chances to get that first marker on the board. Someone needs to step up and sometimes that means secondary scorers making something happen or the power play delivering in a tight game.

Lots of shots , does not mean they are quality shots ... Sorokin is playing ok. But the Habs shooters are making it easy with their mistakes Really pleased the way the team rallied around Price with smothering protection for him. Price played an excellent game, no chance on one and no mistakes. Price gets a trophy for this one. A participation trophy for showing up and playing; playing very well. Not sure if this is straightforward or sarcasm. When Carey was playing as if he lost interest his save percentage was always .880 to .900. He gets a mulligan tonight because its his first game back, etc. His save % was .895. |

I have come to truly dislike the Islanders. They’re thieves. These crappy rope a dope games merely prove they are a boring Lou Lamoriello team. I hope they never make the playoffs again.

Price played a very good game. First goal was a well executed 3 on zero breakaway. Second goal a very good partially screened shot through crowd of legs. He was on the bench for the empty net goal. Not bad after a 10 month layoff first game back. |
