He'll be 26 or so at that point, looking for a 7 year contract... hmmm, not necessarily going to be a bad deal, since he's got enough skills to remain a useful player at 33. Top 2 lines built around Caufield, Suzuki, Cooley or Wright and Dubois would open up all kinds of possibilities.

New management may not have the same hots for him that old management did. Also, if Wright is picked and he’s putting up 70+ points per year, do we need him? Can we afford him?
Naturally if Wright doesn’t work out or we draft Slaf, then PLD becomes an attractive option
