Slafs out with upper body injury. Must have been the high hit leading to his goal. Sure hope it's not a concussion.

Could be a concussion or maybe they are just playing it extra safe.

Seems to be a fair number of empty seats 10 minutes into the game.

Hoffman ties it ,assists to Evans & Xhekaj.
Xhekaj starts the play by blocking a shot, carries it through the neutral zone & dishes to Evan's. Hoffman scores on the rebound of the Evan's shot.

Sweet backhand by WiFi to Evans who shoot and Hoffman puts in the rebound. Excellent play all around with Wifi blocking a shot to start it all and the join the rush.

I know he’s getting his share of plaudits but Kovacevic makes me nervous.

Suzuki has the stick knocked out of his hands with no call. That stick comes back to stop Dadanov on a break & trip Gallagher, who goes off favoring his knee.

They’re‘letting’ them play but the only te getting an advantage is Dallas. They’ve taken the feet out from under several of our guys in a board battle with nary a sniff of a call.

If I was tasked with beating Dallas in a playoff, I would look at how to neutralize Pavelski. He was the key guy on the Sharks and its no different on the Stars. Stop Pavelski and the odds are really good you’ll stop Dallas.

Who's the mountain man sitting behind Deboer's to the left. That's quite the beard.

Evidence: Big Dallas guy goes to net with WiFi there. Allen gloves the puck and bumping happens. Dallas guy bends his elbows to begin the usual cross check, sees who it is and drops the elbows and skates away.

Ahhhh, Savard. Makes a nice deke at the blue line so he can skate in toward the net and then makes the crappiest pass to an open Hab far side but its so slow its easily intercepted.

See what i mean about 26? Dallas gets an easy entry, puck bounces up toward Allen, 26 swings and misses and Dallas gets a chance on goal. An NHL player should be able to bat a puck out of midair. Shades of Don Awrey. Or Pierre Bouchard. Same hands. Actually Awrey was better than that.

I believe Marty is testing Dach’s mental toughness putting Drouin and (Hoffman?) on his wings. Doug Jarvis couldn’t cover defensively for those two.

Galley seemed pretty happy that the stars won... what a douche and Sportsnet are douches for having him as the colour guy for Habs games... send him back to the Hens...

Here I was planning the cup parade and THIS happens.
Allen...weak. Weak. Weak. Did I mention WEAK?
X...I'm in love.
This was a poorly played game were we had more defensive breakdowns then a circus on vodka.
The upside is....Lose For Bedard.

Allen was not good tonight, but the play in net has not been much of an issue through two weeks of regular season hockey. However, the tonight was the first game where the penalty kill failed in major way. If the PK reverts back to the disaster it was for most of the last 2-3 regular seasons then it will be hard for the goalies to keep the ship steady.
Overall, the boys were not good but nor were they really terrible in this one. The refs let some clear penalties against the Stars go uncalled and the goal that restored Dallas' two goal lead in the waning seconds of the second period was deflating.
On to the next game. It is nice to deliver home wins for the fans, so I am sure St. Louis will work on the positive vibes over the next couple of days and see if the boys can deliver against a Minnesota team that has been underwhelming thus far.

I already provide more than his share of critical reviews.
