Habs are doing a good job diving and drawing penalties. Of course our PP is non-existent They need to keep Suzuki and Caufield on for the full 2 mins .... the second unit is useless

Just shoot the puck, stop looking for the perfect play. This is painful

Brendan Gallagher needs 3 goals to reach 200 Bold prediction, he does not score 200 goals as a Hab With that contract I can't see him moving anytime soon. At this rate he should hit 250 by 2026.

Id like to see Slafs shoot that or take it across the crease rather than pass.

I'm starting to get real sick of Slafkovsky giving up shooting chances .... I'm getting sick of Slaf being stuck with slugs He won't get any better until he can show he can make GOOD DECISIONS on the ice. Trying a hero pass to a plug who hasn't scored in about three years, when he has an open shot one on one with the goalie is going to see him benched or on the fourth line. He can't score if he doesn't shoot.

He is making good decision his board work and puck protection are top notch... his passes to his line mates are very good, the problem is his linemates blow... he's 18, he's going to pass because kids that age don't want to look like puck hogs... it's up to the coaches to fix that in him... it's up to the coaches to put him with better linemates

Well, this game went from boring to unwatchable rather quickly.
The power play was the main culprit. And after squandering those man advantages it seems like the boys lost the mental side of the game and gifted the Sharks their second and third goals on defensive breakdowns.
Allen must not be getting enough sleep with a newborn in the house.

I've been saying for some time now, there is no point in having Slafs on the squad if he only gets 11 minutes and with slugs. And to hurt his confidence even more, he's on the second PP unit and he's the guy the puck is dropped to for the rush. WTF. the guy has been sitting on the bench for 6-8 minutes and then the coaches say "Go do your stuff". The good news is midway thru the 3rd, Slafs and Armia had changed lines. To think 'black hole' Armia was getting better ice time than our future. If Slafs is going to stay with the Club then he better get good minutes with good line mates. Otherwise we are ruining his development

Otherwise we are ruining his development 100% agree But. Isn’t there always a but? Slaf has to show that it’s the plugs that are bringing him down. And I’m not placing blame on Slaf here. I’m just saying that he has to recognize scoring chances, take more control on the ice …. It would be one thing if he was setting up the plugs for grade A scoring chances and they were muffing, but he is giving up high quality shots and making passes that have about 5% chance of being made. That won’t get him on higher lines. But shooting and taking control of the line will

I put it down to rookie nervousness (which he has to get over): "I'm just barely in the NHL and they have been here for a while, they know what they are doing with the puck". Even though they don't. It's on MSL to talk to him and say "lead, don't follow". It'll come.
