You forgot to mention the three guys standing around Killorn daring him to score.
Too many changes perhaps. Team seems disjointed. The thing is that as the season wears on, the intensity ramps up and the Habs kids have to learn that. It’ll come but we’ll have to stomach losses in the meantime.

The biggest issue is having to listen to Gary doufus Galley... the 2nd issue is having drouin on the pp... just weak... can't wait to see the back of him

And Armia on the top line and Dach is stuck with Droopy... ffs... meanwhile our 1st OA is on the 4th line with pezz and black hole Evans... Marty is full on tank

I know we say SHOOT when we have the chance...but there was a perfect opportunity for Xhekaj to pass over to Slafs.

He's not learning much playing with Evans & Pezzetta. Why not put him on the top line instead of Armia. And cant they just pay Drouin to stay home?

The curious line combos continue to yield no results. Well, maybe in some way that is the idea.
I concur that the middle third of the season was always destined to be more difficult than the first third. The Habs young d-men are making some naive, ill-advised plays.

Anderson is so slow mentally. Habs attacked, shot the puck in the corner and one guy (Dvorak?) passed the puck to a wide open Anderson on the other side of the net. Another Hab saw an opening and streaked into the slot, without an opponent within ten feet of him. Anderson just didn’t process the play. He took the puck and cycled. So freaking stupid.

Point slices though our D.
3-0.
Dvorak coasting from behind.

The Florida road trip is going as well as one could realistically expect. Just not in the same class.

Cooper has been looking to get Point out there against Dvorak all night. I guess that is not much of an endorsement of Dvorak being a high quality two-way centre.

The young guy shows the stamina in a tilt with an old goat. Pezzetta ended the wrestling match with a couple hard jabs to the side of Perry's face.

Can't tell you how happy I was to see Guh break the goose egg. TB are an entitled group and Vasy is right there. So happy to see his sad face with 3 minutes to go. Small victories I guess.

All the hope was that Suze would bring Armia up. Turns out Armia brought Suze down.
As bad as I feel for Suze, it's gotta be 10 times worse for Dach. Learning to play centre with the two softest wingers in the league in Drouin and Hoffman.
Marty is losing me with these line combinations. And Dvo on the PP? If the PP sucks then you might as well give the kids some time: Slafs and Guh. so big deal if they go 0 for 32. That's two less goals than the current PP.

I could live with Dvorak in the slot. He played there a lot of the Coyotes' power play. But he certainly does not have the skill set to want to run plays through him over on the half wall. And Evans, who does not even really have an NHL shot, in the slot...
It's all okay, though. My son's theory is that the Habs this season are like a Mite team where the coaches have an unwritten mandate to be nice to all the players.

That's funny folatre.
Maybe we should stop keeping score so no one feels bad.

It makes me chuckle to watch the panels talk about this Tampa juggernaut and how they know to slowly build up for the playoffs. I disagree, naturally, and have felt they're on the way down and only the huge advantage obtained by the non existent state tax in Florida, giving them a huge CAP advantage, and then some good work by Yzerman and some drafting luck (Kucherov and Point), along with two bad seasons (Hedman, Stamkos) had them winning two Covid Cups. Hedman and Stamkos are older. Sure they're looking good now, but this is only game 30 of a long 82 game season. Vasilevsky is not having his best year. They're counting on old legs like Killorn's and Perry's. The depth isn't what it was. Etc. etc. Mostly, they are an older team in a league that's getting faster and faster. Their two Cups were during seasons where endurance was not tested and the Avs proved that last year. It was Tampa's last kick at the can, IMO. They've got some decent prospects coming, but no one who is elite and that is going to be the killer. It reinforces how important it is to get a couple of shots at that guy, for us, this year.

Kaiden Guhle’s goal was his 14th point of the season and tied him for 25th on the all-time Habs rookie defense scoring list with
Glen Harmon - 1942-43 Eric Desjardins - 1988-89 Peter Popovic - 1993-94 Jean-Guy Talbot - 1955-56

Speaking of odd personnel decisions…you call up the defender who leads the AHL in PP goals and you don’t give him a sniff on the PP…yet.
However, given the PP decisions all year, nothing shocks me anymore from Burrows.
