We can't 'know' which players they are, but kudos to them for going ahead with this. I'm curious as to where the impetus came from...management or some players? Good leadership either way. Doing so as a group should also add or strengthen unity among them.

For sure, even if the idea came from management, I applaud it.
I agree, it is probably the young guys involved. And a vet wearing a letter (and here beyond the short-term with that contract) like Gallagher hopefully wants to partake as well. Jake Allen seems like an individual who would embrace the opportunity too, though with an infant at home maybe it is complicated.
Over the years there have been more than a few Anglo Habs who were conversant in French.
