Looked like a broken leg to me. His skate hit the post and he leg buckled in a way that legs should not buckle. If it's not broken, then he definitely has MCL/ACL issues Not holding my breath on seeing Joel Anderson anytime soon ... big loss to the team on the ice, and in the dressing room ... huge ... just the way they carried him down the corridor didn't make for good optics ... Mikhail Sergachev must love sticking it to the Habs ... I'd have liked to see a response, but I'm not sure who was left in the lineup that could stand up to him ... to add insult to injury, they missed the call with the ref right there ... man alive, the Habs' season is practically over, and they're not getting out of it unscathed ... Cheers.

Sergachev can be reckless. About a year of so ago I saw him nail Marner with a high hit & escape serious punishment.
I'm not holding my breath but there had to be consequences for a pkay like that.

Really?.. does anyone think there will be supplementary discipline? No call on ice, nothing from NHL head orifice...

I'm not is sure the call was wrong. Both players are trying to out muscle one another using their arms. Sergie won the battle and managed to push Josh back, on his ass. There was no slew foot or anything to Josh's legs or feet. And one could argue Josh initiated contact - he certainly has his right arm up to Sergie's upper body trying to get himself ahead of Sergie and push Sergie back. They get their arms tangled as they are struggling to get ahead of each other and Josh fell back.
As for injury, I doubt it's broken given Josh's movement on the ice. I think it is more like a high ankle sprain or bruised knee.

And then Gallagher goes in on a three on one. Now his pass options were cut off because neither decided to fall back to create space. So Gallagher rightfully shoots AND misses the net from inside the hash .. 🙄 Gallagher had lost any offensive ability he had along with all the other issues. Know he's getting back from injury but boy is it hard to watch Gally. The speed of the game has passed him by and his skill level seems to have dropped as well. He's going to have to reinvent himself or this is going to be a long few years for him and us. Sadly, he's always been a one trick pony with his heart and hustle with an average skill set. But there are lots of heart and hustle guys in the AHL who simply don't have the talent to make the NHL. Gally may now be one of them.

While it doesn't help the CAP, paying players what they're worth, when they're worth that is really important. Using Gallagher as an example, if Berg had paid him more during his productive years, there's no incentive on Gallagher's part to recover lost wages when the contract ends. His new contract could have been less or for a shorter term. It's the old "pay me now or pay me later". Besides it's just fair. The tricky part if gauging the coming years and how productive we expect the player to be. Suzuki probably has a fair contract and Caufield is going to have to be paid a bit more (but not a lot). Dach is going to need more because he's still young enough. Guhle, etc.
That's the challenge for a GM, paying fairly, but handling the CAP well enough so that you don't strangle yourself like the Leafs did. At least HuGo have had enough discipline to trade players in their primes, or just past them, for future picks.

It would be interesting to see a comparison of gms' bad contracts. I gotta believe MB would be high up the list: Gally, Drouin, Alzner, Carey, to name a few.

Anderson -too much money and term for the production. You could add the Weber one in there. PK's CAP hit was about $1MM more, but for a much shorter time. That ended up an even trade at best for Montreal. Subban could have played longer if he chose to. But the CAP hit caused a huged problem for Hughes.
