Barron's offensive skills coupled with his mobility are intriguing. In particular, his wrister from the point has already proven to be an effective weapon in his young career. But he has a really long way to go defensively. And even with the puck, he can be careless. The other night against the Flyers it was his miscalculation jumping into the play and getting a pass picked off in a tie game late in the third that gave Philly the game winner.
I love that St. Louis has him back out there learning. There is no point in being a Therrien with young guys.

I think Barron deserves a break... we will see what he does in the off-season

Lyon got off easy tonight. The Habs just have nothing. I feel for the fans paying serious money to be there in the building.

I just don’t get it. The Panthers should have been overwhelmed as they played a tough game last night. The Habs shat the bed. I can see Florida making the playoffs and screwing our pick. I am so ticked.

Meanwhile in Ottawa, Philly has played almost 50 minutes of hockey & mustered only 7 shots.
The bad teams in this league have stints where they compete but for the most part they get outclassed on aregular basis & its embarrassing.

The talent differential was just too much. And on top of that the boys did not even begin to close that glaring differential by outworking Florida.

RHP scored his 14th in 32nd game. That extrapolates to a 35 goals in 82 games.. is he just a flash or does he have it in him to score 30 goals a year on hard work

I am so ticked. I dont always buy the back to back scenario as a predictor. I seen teams win the 2nd game when you think they should be bagged. And Florida did have very little travel & a much better roster. We should be PO'd at Pitt for blowing their chances.

Tkachuk hit the 100 point mark tonight. We may not like these guys but they can play.

Can't wait for this season to end but HuGo better figure out why this team has so many injuries...

How do the Habs suck so bad against these guys all year but beat so many better teams? Weird.

Was nice to root hard for Les Boys. but one realized pretty early that they just don't have the guns. With the 4 points Fla picked up the last two nights they will not be helping in the Bedard lottery. Hopefully Pitt can hold them off and maybe Buff and Sens can overtake them.
But on the bright side, with our loss and Flyers picking up a point we ain't catching Flyers. So it's down to us and Ariz who are 1 point ahead with a game in hand. With our current line-up, I like our chances for fifth worst.

I'm liking wha ti'm seeing in Barron, he's a good skater with some clear offensive ability. He can get better on defence but he can learn that. He's still very young. You can't learn offence.

I really liked what I saw in Farrell tonight. And I'm not talking about the goal as that was fluke. But he's a good skater and clearly understands the game. He had some smart passes and, like Cole, he knows how to be engaged yet not vulnerable.

I'd be worried if they named him "Mini-Cole"
