Is there a more delusional fan base? They said something similar way back when he signed his current deal. Even the Toronto media was saying it then. He's going to go from 8.5 million to 850K. Spezza and Giordano were basically 40 year old by the time they got to Toronto. Stamkos will turn 34 in a few months. He is not taking anything less than three years/$16 million or four years/$18. And those estimates are for a home town discount in Tampa. Leaving his nice gig for a higher tax environment would cost the bidder even more.
