Solid win. Jake Allen one of his better games as a Hab. Really solid. Good effort all around. Even have to give props to Savard for that one caveman shift where he lost a blade and made multiple blocks

RHP doesn't seem to be getting the job done on the top line. If he doesn't get his ass in gear, he'll be replaced by Monahan the minute Dvorak is back.
Pearson is better than I realized.
I like all the parts of Anderson's game, but man is it hard to find the right spot for him in a lineup.

One team knew how to pass, the other team didn't and boy that one could have been ugly. As one poster coined years ago "Start the car!" We didn't deserve to win that one.
Two players that had poor performances in my opinion were Juraj Slafkovskÿ and Nick Suzuki. The difference was Juraj looked like he was interested and Nick looked like he was merely going through the motions.
Our #1 pick is on pace for 16 points in his sophomore season. Yikes!
Sean Monahan is the best player on this team right now. He and Tanner Pearson are leading the team in points.
This team leads the NHL in penalty minutes with 105 minutes after 5 games. That's over 20 mins in penalties a game. And most are in the offensive zone.
********
The NHL has decided not to fine or suspend Travis Dermott ... baby steps I guess. But I'm taking it as a sign that their "policy" is all bluster. Which is a rant for another day.

I only got to see the last have of the 3rd, didn't get home till late. I've been pleasantly surprised by Gally....he seems to have turned his effort level up a notch. Hopefully he doesn't push himself to hard and injure himself again. Pearson seems to be the unsung hero so far this year, puts in effort and has a hell of a shot, another good pickup. He is way better than I thought in our defensive zone, we'll probably loose him at the end of the year as a free agent.
