I'd be fine with offsides not being a reviewable play. That's two goals we've had called back on video review offsides this year. If it's that close that the linesman doesn't catch it live, then it should stand. So frustrating when we score a decent goal and the camera pans to the other team all huddling around a dumb ipad.

Not much to say... Habs lose by 1 goal.. stupid penalties cost us the game and it didn't help that our PP was awful. Still don't ge tMatheson at QB  . I'd give Barron or Guile a shot. And the Newhook, Josh and Slafs line is just 3 good skaters looking like chickens without their heads on. Josh will always be that. But i don't get how this is suppose to help Slafs', or Newhook's development. As of right now, Cooley is well ahead of Slafs, and he's only played 10 NHL games. |

Slaf needs to be with Monahan This....we gotta move Monahan to the second line. Newhook-Monahan-Slafs should work better than what's being used right now. Monahan probably wouldn't have scored tonight if Slafs didn't go to the front of the net. We either have to be better on the PK or stop taking penalties!! I'm OK with the goals being called off during video reviews....it usually evens out at the end of the year. Go-Habs!! |

As soon as he’s back then MSL will stick him on the third line which will free up Monahan to move up the lineup. We may also see Newhook play wing on the top line. |

Hopefully Slafs was taking notes. |

I only watched 10 minutes of the game.
Amazingly a bottom feeder was able to pin us in our zone for extended time and in fact, even when we had the puck, couldn't manage the amazing feat of getting it out of our zone. Even flipping it out was hard.
We should immidiatly bring back MThead to teach them "off the glass stupid".
A lot of you love MSL, I tolerate him but from what I'm seeing, he either doesn't know what to do besides pats on the butt or he's hiding his other coaching abilities for a future date.
Scotty Bowman still alive?
Lastly...the manager is responsible for his coaches. If MSL doesn't or can't teach structure and basics, bring in assistant coaches who can.

Bowman is still with us. He turned 90 in September. Maybe we should bring him in to teach basic defense. Or Green. Back in the MThead days and Green, ALL their solutions were off the glass. Stupid coaching. Now we have players who take "possession" as their top priority, also stupid solution. They try to find the outlet pass only to be intercepted. I saw this 3 times in one go when Arizona pinned them in. The solution lays between both of those. The first minute of getting hemmed in it's a better decision to try to get an outlet pass, the second minute everyone is too tired to get possession and mount an offence so off the glass and change. It's so roocket sciency... |
