The special teams are an unmitigated disaster tonight. I feel for Primeau. It seems like whenever he gets one of these rare starts in net, the boys play scatterbrained and with basically no discipline.

Slafkovskÿ has overskated the puck at least three times tonight He's made some good plays tonight... I like the advances he's making... at least he is aware of his surroundings and not getting shots to the head like last year |

I try to get a higher picture view of players when I judge them. A couple of observations about Kovacevic.
I ohave often seen him make a pass to a teammate but it’s not in a great position to receive it snd his mate ends up turning it over. Doesn’t show up as a negative on Kovacevic bur he ‘caused’ it. Also, his partner seems to have not so great stats until they’re playing with someone else.
Yeah he’s my whipping boy, but for a reason.

I have wanted Ylonen to get a better shot for some time now. He’s decent all around and has an excellent shot. It’ll never happen but if they’re not bringing up Roy to play RW with Suze andCC, Ylonen is a viable choice for that spot. Too many vets ahead of him for Marty to go in that direction.

Strange, cause that's the exact impression I have about Slafkovskÿ. His passes are either intercepted or behind players. Yes he is young, yes it will take time, but it seems like he is always slow to react or make a decision. |
