Anyone besides the skunk see Biron playing in Montreal next season?

I've only seen him in the final round of the playoffs. He had a great round. Uses his body well and that long reach came in handy on several occasions. Not sure if I see him up very much next year though.

O'Byrne would be better in the NHL than Biron for next season. In the 3 games in Manitoba Biron just couldn't stay on his feet.

If he could ever learn to use his size to his advantage he'd be a lock for the show. He has good offensive skills (great on the Dog's PP last year, especially in the playoffs). He just seems to lack that "killer instinct" to push guys around. If someone somewhere could get inside his head and get him to play angry, than maybe. Otherwise, a career AHLer.

I'm with gogie on this one. Mathieu Biron's got a lot of skill, and could see another cup of coffee if the Habs get into injury trouble. For the most part though, he's a big guy with good offensive instincts. He's not a great skater, and doesn't punish guys the way you'd want someone of his size to.
He's best-suited as a veteran guy for the farm. Gogie goes to a lot of Dogs games, and I think he'd agree that Ryan O'Byrne really started to take off after Biron came to town.
They might be able to flip him for a draft pick at the trade deadline?

I'd also like to add that I'd love to see him get a shot. A guy like Biron, Dan Jancevski or Dan Smith (he was with Hamilton in 2006, Grand Rapids last season), these guys are absolute professionals. Real Crash Davis (from Bull Durham) types. They have great hockey sense, but foot speed or a below-average first pass keep them in the farm. It's too bad. If only for guys like these three to get a crack at full-time NHL duty, I'd love to see the league expand soon.

Biron was drafted ahead of Scott Gomez in 1998. I'm sure he noticed the 50+ million dollar deal that Scotty just signed. I wouldn't be surprised to see a completely different Mathieu Biron show up in training camp this fall.
