Without better center depth Suzuki is exposed and targetted.
CC doesn't bring much more then a shot so if he doesn't get set up, he's not going to score.
Dach loss is the disaster i expect it to be. That and not adding the guy not to be named makes at east a 20 point difference in the standings.
Top it off woth barely any defensive structure...need to buy copium by the trailor load.

I haven't given up on Cole or Nick.
i think Nick knows what this season is and it ain't competitive. Nick plays his best hockey in the playoffs when games matter. Don't think he seems all that focused. Not a good attribute for a captain, but he's too smart to think this season matters, and may realize his best chance for a Cup is another tank.
Cole maybe having a sophmore/junior slump. But he is our leading scorer and is a +1 while all other other forwards on the top 3 lines are in the minus column. So is he having a great year? No. Is he struggling? No. He just ain't yet the 40 goal scorer we are expecting. But that will come.

Question for the board At the quarter poll of the season, who do you consider the team MVP so far, and how concerned are you that it most definitely is not Suzuki or Caufield? Without a doubt Guhle. Great at both ends, has a terrific +/-, is. beast and a leader. Would consider giving him the 'C' - sorry Nick. While we're on the topic.of Guhle, how does he not rate being on the PP unit. Matheson on the first unit and Barron on the second. PEARSON playing point on the second unit with Barron. Rapidly losing confidence in this coaching group, if I have any left at all

Suzuki isn't a #1 on a decent team by any stretch. More a 2nd liner or 3rd. Dvorak and Evans both 4th line. We're really still searching for that #1, Dach is still a hope and a prayer

This ‘other’ strategy is putting players in positions where they may be uncomfortable (eg, having to create with Anderson or Dvorak on your line) in order to force players to react differently than they’re used to. So, deliberately accepting a less than optimum situation to speed up improvement from specific players. Maybe that’s a reach. It is a theory that is more sensible than ‘Marty is a stupid jackass who has no clue about the game of hockey”. That doesn’t explain the poor structure but hey, one thing at a time. Besides, this helps us get a better pick.
