ONE real hockey line and assorted goats and sheep on offense. Defense is much better...with a better selection of goats and sheep. Ok...I'm going to take extra dose of copium now...

I'd swap Jesse Ylönen with Josh Anderson, but that's just me ...
Cheers.

On the PP, Barron mishandled the puck on the blue line leading to a breakaway. Allen makes the save but can't find the puck. It's laying in the crease and tapped in by a Wing for a SH goal. 2-0.

Evans hasn't scored since game 1.

Down 2-0. Did Jake let in the first shot? .750 save %. One out of 4 shots is going in.
How’s our friend Josh doing?

Armia with the steal on the PK. Breaks away on the 2 on 1 and snaps one to make it 3-2.

Way too much passing on a 60 second 5 on 3. PP over as Monahan takes a penalty.

Typical. Habs come back to tie on goal by that noted EN sniper, Gustav Lindstrom. And even more astonishing, it was assisted by Anderson.

No post mortem? Who was on the ice for Habs in OT? Who let noted scorer, Jake Walman, beat us.

Odd game. the first half, I was wondering why are we being dominated by a team that doesn't have a whole lot of talent. And i was quite discouraged with just how far we have to go. Then the last half of the game the Wings looked like an expansion team giving up a 3 goal lead.
Anyway, this current roster sure is confusing. I guess/hope we're at a crossroads and once we get rid of the junk (Kovie, Monahan, Armia, Dvo) and replace them with our youth we should be in contention. But I'm realizing this is at least another 2 years, at least.
But loving Slafs, Struble, and Ylo!

I'm thinking Guhle is looking tired. In my mind a 21 year old who plays a heavy game should not be playing 23/24 minutes a game. He is not able to play at his best, and most concerning, is likely to get injured. I know we got D injuries but we ain't going anywhere this season so why risk the future. Sure let Matheson skate for 26 minutes as he is in his prime and skates like the wind. But I'd play the rest of the D equally.
Kov was awful tonight. As was Monahan. Barron struggled as well.

If Slaf progression continues he will be a handful at 22
Struble needed laval
Ylo is a smart player, he needs to be with like players
Can't wait until the deadweight is gone

Good points. I watched the game late and made the same observations. I also noted that almost every time Slaf touched the puck something good happened. He really is a tremendous passer. Mathieson is the proverbial bagful of hammers. Such a great skater, but we see poor passes, bad decisions, a lot of risk for not much return, etc. He should not be on the top 4.

After he breaks out with 3 hat tricks in one week, are we supposed to provide a reminder that he his on a 60 goal pace? It's a long season. Well this wasn't the week that Caufield got 3 hat tricks ... but in 4 games he did manage to get one goal After 21 games, Caufield is now on pace to score 23 goals Another week has come and gone ... three games this week. Caufield netted 1 goal Now after 24 games, Caufield is on pace for 24 goals.
