Watching the Dvorak-Gallagher-Armia line makes me sleepy and irritated at the same time. Gross, just gross. What's more gross is that Armia and Gallagher make about 10 million together.

Why do people think it's ok to strap a pair of ear muffs on & bring an infant to game? Hire a babysitter- jeez.

Awful clearance by Gallagher, puck in the back of the net.

Pulling the goalie means the puck ends up in the Habs net.

Armia should spend the rest of the game on the bench.

Armia should spend the rest of the game on the bench. What is St. Louis' definition of accountability? Because I don't see it here.

St. Louis had to be told to play him so Hughes could unload him... MSL cannot be that blind

Regarding Gallagher, it probably boils down to two things: the amount of term on his contract and the legacy of a hard-nosed Habs lifer wearing a letter. No one would claim him and really since Montreal is not in a cap crunch, freeing up like $1.15 million by burying him in Laval and then calling up someone making league min does not move the needle now or in future seasons where the same situation will be staring management in the face.
All I can say is that I think after this season Gallagher is going to be buried on the fourth line. And that Hughes tries to trade him out West in the summer of 2025 perhaps agreeing to retain a chunk. And then if there are no takers gets bought out the summer 2026. It will be kind of a sad end to it all but it all goes back to Bergevin and what a wildly irresponsible contract he gifted him when the signs of a small guy breaking down physically through injuries and wear/tear were already abundantly clear.

Regarding Armia, I have no idea. He does not play hard hockey like a big body bottom six winger should. And moreover, he is prone to dumb penalties and just generally lazy play. Management cannot possibly be dumb enough to believe he is tradeable in any shape or form.
He should go play in Laval when someone else comes off IR. And then in the summer he should be bought out.

Armia buyout June 15, 2024
$866,667 24/25 save 2.5M in cap $1,266,667 25/26 lose 1.2M in cap
That's not a lot to get rid of deadweight

I know demoting Gallagher is not going to happen but sorry, I'm venting. Its getting tiresome watching overpaid veterans doing stupid stuff , not paying the price and cashing bloated paycheques.
BTW, your Gallagher timeline is very depressing. 😀

I saw it differently than others as I had no problem with Gally tonight. In fact i think he was one of the better forwards at making things happen - faint praise i know. Suze had a bad game from that ridiculous holding penalty 200 feet from his net (Armia's was only 185 feet ) and his tunropver that led to the Fla first goal. Suze doesn't seem to care - smart enuf to know our fate this season. But our first line is non-existant right now. It's like we have 3 third lines, as very little scoring touch on any of the lines.

Can we geton with the tank please. This team ain't going to make no playoffs. While everyone is talking about Habs being 5 points out of a playoff spot, i'd rather talk about us being 4 poiints out of worst 5 and a decent draft pick. If we'rew going to get in bottom 3 we better get on with it as that's a9 point gap.
Only other potantial benefit to this season will be the rewards at trade deadline. But with our luck, Monahan, Savard, and Kova will get injured.

Thought Harris and Strubs were our best pairing tonight. Matheson is so scary. i think i'm going to start an over/under on number of crazy dangerous turnovers for Maths. I'm going to say 5 for TB game

The Hens are hopeless, there is something wrong in that room... don't know if Martin and alfredsson can fix it. Attachments:

I figure we will be in the 7 to 10 spot, if we are Cayden Lindstrom looks like he might fit the bill... big 6'4" 216lbs, strong, can play all of the forward positions, is projected to get 55 goals and 50 assists... and in 36 games he has 66 pims...
Edit: on tankaton they have the Habs drafting him... lol
