Ah, Kjell Dahlin. Only 3 years with the Habs before returning to Sweden. Great start in his rookie year and then two mediocre seasons. He didn't play full seasons, so maybe injuries were the cause of him leaving. Or the style of the NHL (it was fairly gruesome back then) didn't suit him any longer.
John Kordic with a hat trick?

I thought the closest he ever got to a hat trick was being traded for Russ Courtnall

So Laviolette is continuing to play the hot veteran in net? It appears that way.
It was inevitable, but I cannot say I am looking forward to Gallagher getting back in. And why is Pearson (club has nothing invested in him and he has no future with the Habs) playing instead of Ylonen? At least it appears to the plan is to stick Pearson and Gallagher together on Evan's line. I do not even know how to describe that trio. A checking line?

It’s still hurts me that he didn’t win the Calder I somewhat see why Suter got it, but that was an era of many high scoring defensemen. But for Wendel Clark to get 18 first place votes and Dahlin only got 4, goes to show what a joke the voting was

And now MTL gets a penalty for high sticking on Struble minutes later

6 mins into the game and the only shot on net by either team is when Suzuki went one on one while short handed and lost the puck off his stick and it happened to go weakly on net

It must really burn Rob Blake to see Jon Quick putting up such strong numbers even at age 38.

Matheson is so careless. The puck just rolls off his stick which leads to zone tome for NY.

And there is brain fart #1 by Matheson
Skating backwards and mishandling the puck while stick handling passes the puck right in front of the net to a Ranger
Luckily no goal , but he is a liability
He makes 4 a game

If a team was offering a second round pick, I’d be trading him without blinking an eye

Struble puts Wheeler down hard. Looks like he caught his leg on the boards & had to be helped off.

Xhekaj’s confidence is nil nowadays What? ... he's fine He didn’t protect the puck while going around the net. The Ranger stripped it and put it in front where Monty had to make a really good save. That’s not fine

Is that Saku Koivu? No, Jake Evans.
Trouba needs to get punched hard by Xhekaj.

Slaf needs to shoot there . He always wants to pass ya. He had a clean look versus a 50-50 pass. With the confidence he's shown lately I am surprised he passed there.
