Looking at the box scores on hockey-reference and espn...I was surprised to see Streit credited for what I've always considered Ryder's 3rd.

Scroll to 4:16 for the goal. On the final replay (5:00 mark), you can see Ryder's shot--or was it a perfectly placed carom? --deflect off Streit's right skate blade/foot and through the 5-hole. The analyst mentions the puck was "deflected in front of the net"--but it was presumed to be Ryder's goal at that time.

EDIT: An excerpt from a SN report. A smaller number of hats were tossed onto the ice when fans thought Ryder had got a hat-trick at 6:52 of the third period, but the goal was later given to Streit, who also had two assists.

What!!! they Missed the #1 comeback (IMO). 1971, Game 2, vs Boston, down 5-1 late in the 1st (or was it the 2nd?) and Pocket Rocket makes it 5-2 and the comeback is on. Dis even had the highlight package on one of our GDT's this year. One of the biggest upsets in NHL history and they omitted it!!?
