From the abyss, it sounds like Dvorak might be back to play a few games before the end of the season. We early missed his 3 goals in 25 games production 🙄

The Panthers are in Toronto tonight, so their level of interest in the Habs could be less than 100 percent. It will be Stolarz in net, although he has won plenty of games this season, which a solid backup on a great team should do. I presume St. Louis is basically just rotating Montembeault and Primeau down the stretch. Guhle will return. I would sit Harris after his performance against Carolina, but I presume Kovacevic steps out.
Wow, seriously, I was not expecting Dvorak back until camp. Yes, he is Mr. Vanilla and Bergevin significantly overpaid for a 3C. However, I must say his skill level is superior to Evans. And since for me Newhook is not a natural center, if Dvorak had been healthy this season, he would have been the 2C after Monahan got traded.

In 3 seasons with Montreal Dvorak has played 145 games. Maybe he feels guilty about taking all that cash & playing about 50 games a year.

You're probably right about the D lineup change with Guhle's return but I'd much rather have someone of Kovacevic's size & demeanor playing against Florida.

I'd rather Harris dress. Harris has a hope for a future with Habs and he should play in tough games. Kov's is not ever dressing for any contender, except maybe in the AHL.
Suze, Dach, Dvo and Evans would be a pretty good centre line up. Need that winger to play with Dach and Newhook, and we'd be in the playoffs.

It seems Habs management appreciates Harris' play more than many Hab fans. I prefer Harris to Kovacevic by several football fields worth. IQ is much better on Harris and he makes good, solid plays. Kovacevic is often stressful for his defense partner. Almost as scary as Matheson.

They are playing a team with d!cks like Tkachuk and Cousins in the lineup. I want some more protection for Suzuki and company. The Panthers have only won 2 of their last 9 so they will be in a crappy mood.

But with Pizza, X, Savard and Guhle dressed, I'm not worried about the Fla nonsense. I'd like to include Josh on that list but he has become so soft. Yet yesterday he was going on with the media about his strong assets, speed, size and physicality. Regardless what sort of slump someone is in, there is no excuse for not being physical. In my mind it is the one aspect a player can control if they want to. You start by finishing a check even oif it's late, and getting into scrums after the whistle. Josh has become ghost.

Some really poor coverage on both of Florida’s goals. They left Monty hung out to dry

Montreal's power play is just so bad. A lot of rethinking needs to be done before 2024-25.

Montreal couldn’t score 5 on 3 mainly because they kept trying the same play over and over and over again. Someone, for the love of God, please discover there is ice on the right hand side as well

Just when you think you've seen everything in hockey ...
"after review it was determined it crossed the goal line we have a good goal for Montreal ... I'm sorry upon further communications, we had bad communications and it didn't cross the line , no goal"
I thought April Fools was yesterday

I watched quite a bit of the Toronto-Florida game last night and Kulikov stood out for being absolutely brutal. Fast forward 24 hours, that guy is literally brain dead. Maurice may feel extreme stomach discomfort imagining the dumb things that guy could do in the playoffs

Smart of Suzuki there to reach for that tip knowing that a Matheson point shot would be wide of the net.

Newhook and Guhle get possession, Guhle passes it to Matheson who loses it and pressure is sustained forcing MTL to take a penalty ...
Matheson causes more goals than he creates
