Disgruntled70sHab I believe this game is on Sportnet as part of their Monday night hockey broadcast. If so, that would make Hutson’s NHL debut available across the country with no blackouts (a rarity for Habs games…NHL tv coverage rant over).

Great Roadrunner video - blast from the past. Crazy how elementary it all was. I went to Yvan's hockey school when i was 15. I'm happy to say the lessons were a lot more informed than the video. Yvan was impressive. I remember the first time i was with him on the ice, thinking how short this guy is. But then realizing he is built like a tank. One of my all time favourites!

This is a must lose game! We are in control of our own destiny to get the #5 spot and a 8.5% chance at Celebrini or at the least, a good top pick. I'm liking our chances at getting #5. If Wings sweep us we are #5. Wings should be motivated as they will have a playoff position on the line. Hopefully the pressure doesn't get to them. The good news is that even if they win this game they cannot clinch so Wings will still need to win the game against us Tuesday. Go Wings! On the other side of the equation, if we do get some points against the Wings, it may not be the end as the only teams that can bounce us from #5 are Sens and Yotes. Don't see Sens winning another as they play Rags and Bruins who will both want wins for playoff positioning if not President's Trophy. And even if Sens don't get another point, we would need to pick up 3 points against Wings to catch Sens - not likely. So it is really Yotes that concern me. If we pick up 2 points against Wings could pass Yotes. However Yotes losing their only game left is not a given. Yotes actually might win their last game against Oil who likely won't have anything to play for when that game is played Weds, and It is likely Yotes last game ever in Ariz so maybe they put one on for the home fans. As i said, these are must lose games for us. And I'm thinking Suze, Cole and Slafs all look tired lately, so i would rest them. And i'd double shift Josh and Gally!

I'd rest Matheson as well and put in Kovacevic

So is this new? I was watching the opening on the game and on the screen they show the referees names and ''linespeople'' names.
Didn't know gender neutral was part of hockey now.

And Hutson with his first point on Gallagher goal

Hutson has quick feet, dangle, and vision. Those are nice attributes in the o-zone.

Nice eye-hand coordination by Barron. One would imagine that in a lose and die game for the Red Wings that Lyon is on the shortest of leashes.

Matheson overstates the puck while stick handling 🧐🧐

And Hutson with his first point on Gallagher goal I didnt see it but NHL.com has it as unassisted My bad. It was a Huson shot and Galoagher banged home the rebound so just assumed.

Hmmm, other Habs on the ice could have cleared the zone, but for me Hutson was drifting too high there as that play unfolded.

Nice eye-hand coordination by Barron. One would imagine that in a lose and die game for the Red Wings that Lyon is on the shortest of leashes. Reimer got the start in Toronto ( won despite allowing 4) because Lalonde thought Lyon looked fatigued so I'm sure you're correct.

EDIT: I just watched the replay. After Hutson shot it looked like a Wing had brief possession before Gallagher put it in.

I know Matheson is having a career year but man he has zero defensive awareness
And I know plus minus as a stat is not great, but it sure shows a trend when only one defenseman on the team is lower than -8, and it’s -23!

Matheson, Barron and Hutson. That's a lot of offense first kinda guys on the ice in the line up.

Based on the 2 on 0 he just broke up, I'd say he's trying to get to almost zero

Karlsson won the Norris last year at -26. I know he had over a 100 points but voters are forgetting what a defenceman's main role is.
