Might have to send a mid level prospect with them, but might be worth it.

I wouldn't mind our 26th and Mesar. It would be the equivalent of two first rounders. Also, anyone else disappointed with him and was expecting more? I know he was moved from the AHL back to juniors but was hoping he would break out a bit more like Beck has.

When did Buium become a religious object? What happened to Levshinov and Dickinson? I'm so confused... Levshunov is still the top d prospect in this draft. So it says a lot that Buium outscored him. Together they had 2 of the best draft eligible seasons in the NCAA. I still think Levshunov is the first D to go, but a big part of that is his right handedness. I’ve seen/heard it a few times now that Buium may be the smartest player in the draft class. He controls play, and we need more players with that capability. If we go BPA, I find it hard to argue against it being Buium.

I've heard he (Buium) is the most complete player. Played great against Boston College in final four

One guy says Dickinson...the next guy says Buium...the third guy says Levshinov.
Thr Silayev says...what about me?
This draft has become a pick-your-corner and pray...

I would send them Matheson & our 26th for the 10th overall. Then you have flexibility... do what you want with the 5th, if the guy you want is gone at 10, then send that pick to the Jets for McG and their 2nd.

But last year we were all hoping Michkov would fall to us and he did and we didn't pick him. Now he has magically gotten out of his contract and is coming over next year.

I think if you like Jeff Friesen you’ll like Michkov. What bothh have in common is a lack of interest in anything involving defense. Eiaerman’s the same but he has a willingness maybe to learn to be adequate. Not sure that’s true of Michkov.

Hockey is debatable. However, I do not think the Devils would prioritize a d-man like Matheson. Hamilton and Hughes are running the respective power play units. Plus, Nemec is offensively inclined. My sense would be that Fitzgerald is looking for a robust shut down type.

I would love it. But I doubt New Jersey would do it right now. There are a lot d-men on the UFA carousel so Fitzgerald would probably say they would rather not cough up a serious asset until they see what happens next week.

I think it is good news that Chicago took Levshunov. It slightly improves the chances that Demidov falls to #5.
