Boston trades Ullmark for the 25th pick, Kastelic and Korpisalo.
Not as good a return as Social media was expecting. I never had a good opinion of Ullmark, as I’m not sure of his consistency over a long season. Boston gets a backup goalie and a first rounder, albeit a later one. Kastelic fits the 4th line goon description. Guess Boston thought they weren’t tough enough. Here’s hoping they bomb on that pick. I wish it wasn’t just in front of us but hopefully that pick will be traded.

Are you sure of the pick? TSN is saying it's Ottawa's pick in the deal. But I can't see a top 10 pick being dealt for a 1 yr goalie.

Good job unloading Korpisalo. Sens retaining 25%
I guess Ullmark had to approve this move. Wonder if he'll re-sign.

Just last week most hockey observers were saying wow the Devils did not give up important for Marksrom. Basically, goalies never fetch a haul. It is the nature of how the position is perceived by front offices.
This should make Ottawa better, but that team is strange. The whole is less than the sum of the parts.
Getting a new goalie does not shake up the core. For me Poulin and Staois would be wise to take a step in that direction.
