Laval move to 7-1 with their 6th straight win: 2-1 against the Providence Bruins. Davidson (again) and Beck with the goals, Hughes with the win in net.

Mailman is leading the AHL defenseman with half the games. He's at 2.25 points per game. Tell me again about how anyone not named Hutson is going to be anywhere near him offensively? Attachments:

The game this afternoon looks like it turned into a feisty affair. I notice Hughes started (and played well) both games of the back to back. Is Dobes injured or something?
I do not necessarily desire to mess too much with the personnel and chemistry in Laval, but I really think management needs to turf Dvorak soon and the guy I would call up to replace him as 4C is Candotta. Also, I think it is time to send Kapanen back to Europe rather than stranding him a role that does not fit in Montreal.
It is nice to see that Roy is heating up.
Regarding Mailloux, I think he will form the future top pair Guhle. The bigger question, perhaps, is whether Guhle can stay healthy.

BTW...notice the amount of shooting on their PP. Mostly Mailman.

Tell me again about how anyone not named Hutson is going to be anywhere near him offensively? sample size small, since you speak a lot about spotlighting a player I would suggest going back and watching Mailloux in the NHL, he looked more lost than a blind man half the time. Scoring against Junior is one thing, scoring against AHL opponents of which 90% will never become a regular NHLer isn't at all like scoring against the top players in the world. But keeping the puck out of the net is the most important thing to any NHL defenceman in this day and Logan looks like he has no clue. |

Double D’s were the heroes in a 4-3 SO win against Syracuse. Davidson scored twice in regulation and was the only player to score in the shootout for the GWG and Dobeš was a wall making some huge saves and stopping all the shots in the SO he faced for the win.

I watched it and was pretty mad about his screw up... it's OT and if he kept going forward he would have been OK, but he stopped and turned around to pass for some reason |

I recorded the game but forgot to put extra time on it so i missed the last 5 minutes and OT.
Before i curse that he dies from jock itch...i want to see wtf was he looking at and thinking.
If he's showboating then the cursing is gonna come, but if he thought that move would put someone open, then it's a mistake. Or failed execution.
OT is about possession and minimum risk. That should be in is skull...or pounded in there.
Another thing we will never see...did he go into the locker room and apologize to his teammates? As a manager i never kicked anyone in the process of kicking themselves. You want to see that self awareness that they screwed up. And then mark it down to be extra annoyed if they repeated it.
