Letang is 37 years old, and he is not a great two-way d-man anymore. With three more years at $6.1 per, he is not yielding Pittsburgh anything that resembles a positive pick or prospect unless Dubas is retaining 50 percent. And even then, I really do not estimate that getting the age 38-40 seasons from a past great makes a lot of sense at $3.05 per when the Habs have a lot of young d-men that should be locking down roles now and in the very near future.

Dubas is at Habs games scouting for Team Canada not trying to trade Other than Montembault who could interest him? Suzuki, but also the other teams they played. In this stretch they played the Oilers (Skinner) and Vegas (Hill), Monty's competition for the goalie spot.

I miss the days where Canada could choose from the likes of Roy, Brodeur, Belfour, Joseph, Luongo, Fleury, Price

There's a few good ones coming, but it will take a while. Jack Ivankovic is one and Carter George another. NWT will no doubt have other names.
