I don't understand how Marty can keep putting Matheson and Dach on PP1

This team is a total waste with a coach that his mirror tells him he's brilliant.
We're going through the motions of another season. Frankly, I doubt any young guy will improve or the vets will raise their trade value.

It's pretty clear at this point that HuGo ain't doing anything to bail these guys out. He seems happy to get another top pick. He has guys in Laval playing really well, and he has said he ain't calling them up as he wants them to learn to win in a winning environment (not sure how that strategy meshes with the team that matters  ). And he is hoping for some decent retruns for the vets he'll be dumping. Don't see anything decent coming for Armia or Dvo. Maybe a 2nd for Evans. And that is why Maths will never be taken off the 1 PP unit. He is the big prize come TDL. Maybe even get a first for him. Now Marty could play both Lane and Maths together on the 1st PP but perhaps he's concerned the 2nd would be so inept he doesn't want to do it. Of course i wouldn't mind seeing Guhle and X on the 2nd - got nothing to lose. And did i mention this year is all about development? |

The game was forgettable in most respects, but there were positives in the boys' approach last night. When Zuccarello and Eriksson Ek went out with injuries in the first period, I said to my son hey the first goal in this game is going to be the game winner. Unfortunately the Wild got the goal and when Struble got the double-minor late in the third, it was essentially over.

I'm still not sure what we have, but as the season goes along, I seem to be leaning to the latter, regardless of what he says about progress. |

The last cup I bought a cup is 30, maybe 40 plus years old....and I can't see how a puck would cause a need for surgery. Maybe the new cups are just sexy speedo briefs? Are they like shorty gloves were they barely cover the wrist? BTW...ever see one of those crazy videos that you react to stupid as if you were there? Hopefully gms won't see Dvo only gets empty netters. |

Unfortunately so did the Hab’s. Blame the coach. Don’t think any coach tells the players to aim at the crest. Don’t think the GMs have spotted hard working speedy skilled superstars the way other teams have. The problem with the blame game is it doesn’t lead to improvement. How many years since the leafs won the cup. How many since the Hab’s won it? How many since a Canadian team won it? Something is wrong! I never thought it was possible. |
