Club may have hoped for more from the very deep 2003 draft, but as of last game they had 4 players in the lineup from that group. Top pick Andrei Kostitsyn has been less than expected, and the second player they took, Corey Urquhart looks like a total washout, having recently been demoted to the ECHL at the age of 23. But the recent recall of Jaroslav Halak, Maxim Lapierre, and Ryan O'Byrne makes the overall draft more palatable four years later. Lapierre is definitely a keeper, and Halak would be considered one of the up and coming young netminders in the league except for the presence of Carey Price. O'Byrne looks like he could be a useful role player at least, adding size and physical agression to a lineup that is generally short of those qualities. Kostitsyn is getting every chance to succeed, and this is likely his make or break season as far as the organization is concerned. Trevor Timmins first draft with the Habs probably warrants a C at this point, but there is room for it to grow.
