A huge pet peeve of mine is post-game, or pre-game reports that have headlines along the lines of:
Rangers Bure the Habs Guerin has the Leafs seeing stars The Flames burn the Predators St. Louis has the Canucks Singing the Blues Minnesota are set to go wild in L.A. etc.. etc.. etc..
I realize that, with hundreds of games a season, it's difficult to come up with original headlines for games, but I'd rather see a boring one such as: Flames beat Predators than the same recycled lame pun over and over again. This critique has nothing to do with the content of such reports, just the headlines.

Andrew, I know what you mean. Those kinds of headlines bug me too. Maybe they lack creativity and just do that because they can't think of anything creative to say.
