Bure hurt his knee last night, and is slated for an MRI today. He may miss the rest of the season.
And you think AS has problems. How'd you like to be in Sather's shoes? Assemble a bunch of highly overpaid misfits, who can't even play together.

While I don't wish anything bad to Bure, this is good news for us. We've been wanting to offload a high salary offensive right winger and the Rangers need one. How long before Chow, Audette or both goes to New York with Kloucek coming back the other way?

Well, we certainly need a D man that can throw a bodycheck. Kloucek certainly provides that. He seems to go out of his way to throw the big hit, ala Ulanov, but other than that I never really noticed him much. As for ridding ourselves of a RW and acquiring Kloucek, I'd do it in a flash. It's not like either Audi or Czerk is helping the team by being seat warmers in the press box. And, as you seen last night, we really need a physical stay at home defenceman.

Chow may have slipped through waivers this week, but obviously that was a blessing in disguise as the Chow to Ranger rumours are bound to heat up again. Take 'em for all you can get Savard!

i assume if slats were to agree to take the entire contract chow or audette could be had for a 5th rounder. i remember hearing earlier this year when slats wanted to add grier from edmonton, the higher powers told him the payroll ceiling has been hit and if he wanted to take on salary, he'd have to unload some first.

*excellent*
Let's hope Pavel has a torn ACL and is done for the year.
Kloucek for Chow would be sweeeeeeeeeeet! throw in Dykhuis or Traverse as well to make room for Kloucek

Your plans all sound great on paper... problem is, you're assuming Sather is a moron, which is he isn't. Guys gotta remember Smith isn't running the team anymore!
About Bure... just terrible. Crossing my fingers it's only Jason Allison time he'll be missing... praying that there's no ACL damage.

As I remember, Ally had a torn MCL and a partiallly torn ACL. The MCL tear is not as bad as a total ACL tear. Which is why he is back

yeah, the ACL is definitely the key here, no doubt about it. Conflicting rumours are all that I can gather so far, I just hope it's not season-ending. This team can still make the POs without him, but it's gonna be alot tougher and we'll need him once we get there.

For a team with a 75 million $ payroll to have one very talented winger left(Dvo) with no Pavelis amazing. What is all that money spent? You guys need Czerk ;D

That's the problem... we've got 4 centers who make a combined 20 million. Every Ranger fan knew we were thin on wing, dealing York and letting Fleury go hurt there, but those were sacrifices we simply had to make. The team is still very much a work in progress, it'll be a good while before we can lose a guy like Bure and not miss a beat. btw, no one needs Czercawski.
