for starting the Olys with Cuchoke(or Cujoke ;D) instead of Brodeur last year ? that decision almost cost us a gold medal...

Hmmm.. But what if he had started Brodeur in that first game against Sweden and we still got shelled?
Then he would have undoubtedly turned to Cujo against Germany which would have most likely been a victory anyways.
Then maybe Cujo loses to the Czechs... and we go to BELFOUR?!? against Finland.
A lot of IFs. Who knows!

Not sure if I understand what you're getting at, but I'm gonna guess. Are you suggesting that the reason Detroit's down 3-0 is because of Cujo? Cujo has a 1.90 GAA and a .925 save %; usually that gets you into the next round.
Marc, you gotta look beyond wins and losses. Giguere is looking better than Roy did in '86. If (BIF if) Giguere keeps it up, Anaheim only has 13 more games to play, and they'll win them all.
Admittedly, I've had a couple of drinks tonights. If you're referring to something else, I apologise! ;D

Goals against average and save percentage tell half the story. The other half is what kind of series this is, what kinds of goals he's allowing and when he's allowing them. The Wings are in a very low-scoring, tightly played series and Joseph is the second best goaltender. That wouldn't be so bad if the goals he was giving up didn't include a couple (maybe three) soft ones.
He's not the whole reason they're down 3-0, but he's been outplayed. That's not supposed to happen to a guy who's earning 8 million bucks.

Of course he's being outplayed, we're witnessing one of the best playoff performances in recent history. Tod Button has a lot of time on his hands now, but I bet he hasn't watched one Anaheim-Detroit game. Hurts too much.

what JV said.
The last 4 goals he has given up have been pretty soft(the last 2 in game 2...the 2 last night)...
there is a reason why he has never gotten out of the 3rd round..

I use stats a lot (no kidding the chorus replies) but JV is right IMO. I've always thought Joseph was over rated and expected him to deliver the same way with the Wings this year, ie not when it counts, although not this spectacularly.
I figured if the Wings were to be successful that it would be in spite of Jospeh. All Jospeh would have to be was solid, not spectacular (like when they won with Osgood). Seems he's not even up to being solid. Too bad in a way as I like the Wings.
I wonder who will be sacrificed if the Wings go out in 4 straight?
