Gainey made the rest of the Eastern Conference go "Holy crap; he's making us look bad!" and hence insanity reigns.
I love how four Canadian teams have made blockbuster moves -- three from the Rangers.

I'm still waiting for Jersey to make other moves. They need a D man in case Stevens can't go and they need a backip goalie. I know that Brodeur is in there all the time but they can't go into the playoffs with Scott Clemenson as the backup.
