My bet it's Anaheim. 4-5 million per year is alot IMO. Both places are logical for Prospal. Considering Anaheim will be loosing Oates and Kariya, their top center and LW, Prospal could fill in one of these positions, and they also have the $$ to spend saving the 14 or so mil on Kariya, Oates and Thomas and the extra money from the playoffs. I thought they would end up signing Fedorov, he seems to be the perfect fit for anaheim right now but we will wait and see. Atlanta may not be resigning Kolstov (sp) because of contract problems, so Prospal could be their answer, but 4-5M for Atlanta is quite a bit, especially with the money they are loosing on Dafoe. |

They are not losing any money with Dafoe...he is staying in Atlanta.

They are not losing any money with Dafoe...he is staying in Atlanta. I meant they are loosing money by having him because they have Nurminen (sp?) who can act as the #1 goalie and Hnlicka or Lethonen as the back up. They could do without his $3M contract. |

Prospal's signing has gotten a lot more interesting. Both the Ducks and Atlanta have turned down rumours that they have signed Prospal.
Prospal said in the St. Pete Times: "I think its best if the team comes out and announces it first."
