I just heard it on the Fan 590 that Sean has waived his NO traded clause for a couple of teams.....No word which teams but Montreal is supposed to be in the running.

TSN.ca has a detailed report on their website. It indicates that Hill will waive it for a Stanley Cup contender since the lure of a chance at the cup is too strong. It also states that the list is a couple of teams.
I am sure that I join many of my fellow Hab fans in feeling that we are now a better team, but not likely what players like Sean Hill feel is a contender quite yet.

I heard this too. Not sure how many teams or who they are.
My guess would be Eastern Conference contenders. Maybe Ottawa - he played there before.

I bet the Leafs get him. What a top 6 they'd have.....
McCabe-Kaberle Klee-Leetch Hill-Marchment (Marchment is a goon...but his fear tactics are still enough to cause apprehension for opposing forwards)
Pilar-Berg are their weakest links.
I wouldn't mind the Habs getting him. He's a stay at home guy, hard hitter, with a big shot from the point. Can't have enough of those. We let him go once....in fact isn't his name on the last Habs' Cup engraving? He played 3 playoff games in 93.

WIth Stevens questionable they really need some insurance and may pay a little more. I'm surprised at the moves Lamoriello has made so far. Hrdina & Kozlov aren't going to solve their most pressing needs - depth on D & a backup goalie.

Hi all ! I am new to this board. Excellent postings to read ! I think Detroit is the team that will get Hill. With Dandeneault lost for 4-6 weeks, and being a contender, it just make sense. Hill would definitely waive his non-trade clause to play with the wings and his ex-teamates Schneider.

I'm so focused on the Eastern Conference I had not thought of the Wings as a destination for Hill.

Yes, played a little less than half the season & 3 playoff games. If that is the case then he didn't get his name on the Cup unless one of those three games was in the finals. I thought to get your name on the Cup you had to be on the post trade deadline roster AND either play in 40 games during the regular season or play 1 game in the Final. Maybe the 40 games is only 25 ....but I thought it was 40.
