a great pick up by the Ducks. he can play wing (Kariya) or center (Oates). does it mean they are no longer candidates to sign Fedorov? or is this a move to persuade him by making them more competitive?

I am pretty sure they are out of the feds running unless he cuts down his asking price.

www.tsn.ca/nhl/about time this got down....not as big of a contract as first reported. Disney would rather pay the mascot, Darkwing Duck, $5.50 per hour than pay Selanne or Kariya. The pond is four miles away (only go when Montreal is in town) , Disneyland is four miles away (I go once a decade), California Adventure is four miles away (never been there) and everyone around here dislikes the Disney Corporation.

What a terrible signing.
Prospal is not the player who put up 80 points last season. His stats are way inflated.

There was a lot of hype around Prospal when he broke in with Philly. Since then though, he's had a few good years intersperced with terrible ones. I don't think he'll go back to his 8 goal a year self, but I can't see him putting up 80 points with any regularity. Fair salary considering what he did, but just too many years.
