Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Mike Smith announced today that the club has re-signed forward Mark Bell. In keeping with club policy, terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Bell, 22, appeared in all 82 regular season games last season recording 14 goals and 15 assists for 29 points and 113 penalty minutes for the Blackhawks last season. He ranked second on the club in penalty minutes last season and third in shorthanded goals (2) and face-of percentage (52.5%)
Selected the Blackhawks 1st round, 8th overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, Bell has played in 175 career NHL games scoring 26 goals and 32 assists for 58 points and 241 penalty minutes for the Blackhawks.
