Mel Lastman's a big goof who obviously doesn't know much about hockey.

He was also quoted with comparing Carter's goal to Paul Henderson's:

"You all remember and you all keep seeing all the time ... about Paul Henderson and what he did for Team Canada,'' said Lastman. ``Well, that's what we're going to be seeing for I don't know how many years - Anson Carter scoring that overtime goal."

Since the day after Carter's goal, how many times has it been shown on tv?

Sorry Mel, but I don't think that Carter's goal can compare anywhere close to Henderson's in terms of magnitude and impact on the lives of Canadians.
