It doesn't make sense on the Leafs perspective. They are searching for a DEFENCEMEN.

Although Dallas probably wouldn't deal Morrow, the more I think about this deal, the more sense it makes. IF Svhela agreed to come back, a package of him and Tucker for Arnott and Morrow would be VERY appealing to the Stars. Now if we pull that trigger, we obviously need help on D? Anyone know the salaries these two guys make? My guess is that Svhela's and Tucker's salary together comes to $6 million, and than if we save a little bit on Arnott and Morrow, we can use the leftover money to pick up Tverdovsky.

I disagree.

I like Arnott, and to a lesser extent, Morrow as well.

However, understanding the Leafs' priority is NOT forwards, I wouldn't trade Tucker + Svehla for 2 forwards.

I wouldn't do the first trade but brake it down and we could get something beneficial.

WOW, and I mean wow how do they hate a rumor that brings them Arnott AND Morrow for a retired Svehla and a 3rd liner like Tucker? they can't be such big homers, can they? who cares if they need d-man..and most of them seem to be believing the rumor is real(Dallas gets totally hosed)..unreal.

How can the deal be appealing to Dallas? They give up a 2nd/1st line forward in Arnott a 2nd/3rd line young forward who may not have reached his potential in Morrow for a glorified goon and a retired, aging defenseman. If the leafs had Brisebois they'd be "dealing" him for Forsberg, while Hejduk is thrown in as part of the deal as far as some leaf fans are concerned imo.
