This means Quinn is winning the battle. Smith has a Cup under his belt and knows his way around the corporate jungle in a big market.
Quinn could not control him. Peddie & Dryden must be caving.

intersting discussions on the blues board over at HF have word that ferguson has cleared his belongings from the worcestor arena. He's coach (or masybe not) o0f the icecats.

I get the feeling that the Maple leafs old boys club is trying hard to find a "yes" man for them to control, not that i am saying that Ferguson is a that guy because i don't really know him much. Truth is, this team is due for a rebuilding process.

looks like the saga is finally over:
"John Ferguson Jr., director of hockey operations for the St. Louis Blues, has been hired as the general manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, a team source said Thursday."
