Yzerman, 38, is the longest serving captain in the history of the National Hockey League wearing the “C” since the 1986-87 NHL season.

A lot of Red Wings' players right now are on their last wheels. Hasek may be coming back for one more year (and that could be it!), who knows how much longer Chelios will still be around. Then there's also Brett Hull. They've already lost Luc Robataille (who didn't do much for them last year anyway). They'll have to go back to rebuilding very soon.
