Another earth shattering move by Mike Milbury, to rival the Butch Goring deadline deal of Islanders yore.

A potatoe spud trade. Why even bother.

It's a trade like this that encourages me to think that we could possibly pick up a fifth rounder for Kilger.

It's a trade like this that encourages me to think that we could possibly pick up a fifth rounder for Kilger. I suppose you're only joking, which would be consistent with the whole Bozo personae, but just in case you're not, I wouldn't move Kilger at all unless it was part of a trade to bring back a real player. I wouldn't even move him for a 3rd rounder at this point, because the 3rd simply can't be worth as much to us as Chad is -- no matter how poorly or inconsistently he's been used. Kilger stays on my team. As does Bill Lindsay. These are the kinds of guys I want on the 4th line. And Kilger adds crucial depth by playing the wing as well as center, and by killing penalties.

I would not actually accept a fifth rounder for Kilger, but when players who fill an equivalent role (Robitaille, Lapointe) are traded for late mid-draft picks, it tells me that at present that's the best we could hope for if we were to peddle Chad. I would not move any of our d-men at present unless we knew some were coming to us shortly. As I remarked in another thread; you know you're thin on the blueline when Sylvain Blouin is playing on the second pairing for your top farm club. Traverse le Beau Chemin, mais Brise pas du Bois.
