Yeah. He is looking at a 6 -12 month window before he back to normal - if you can get back to normal after destroying your knee that way.

Obviously the greater tragedy is the situation that Snyder is in, but from a purely hockey perspective this may limit the impact that Heatley has when he returns.
Just look at Koivu, as he wasnt the same player after returning. He was leading the league at the time of his knee injury...we dont know how much better he actually might have been.

It totally sucks to see such a promising young star potentially ruin his career. I was looking forward to seeing Heatley play for Canada at the World Cup, but that probably won't happen now.
That aside I'd much rather Snyder recover than watch Heatley play hockey again. Hopefully both can happen.
