Over here in Switzerland, press and Swiss "Abby" fans are starting to get crazy about our rookie netminder. It seems hard to believe he's actually started the season as number one goalie. Especially after all those rumours about trading Potvin, Burke, Khabibulin and even Theodore to Denver ! I even heard from Canadien press that Patrick Roy would be back in net by X-mas...
And now Abby keeps a clean sheet for his first opening game as number one to earn first star of the game. Amazing !
Do you think Pierre Lacroix will trust the little guy to go all the way, knowing Aebischer has no play-off experience whatsoever ? After all, the Avalanche is aiming for the Cup this season...
