Jagr was quoted as saying. “It's very simple. I consider the [Russian] superleague to be the second-best in the world, after the NHL.”<br> Long used to losing its best players to North America, fans of the 18-team RHL are panting with excitement at the possibility that their league will be the best on the planet next season. The looming labour Armageddon in the NHL is looking more and more like an opportunity for the rebirth of professional hockey in Russia. - www.theglobeandmail.com/servlet/story/RTGAM.20031018.JAGR18/BNStory/Sports/

Yes! I'm sure lots of overpaid players like Lindros will rush to go there and earn $50,000 per year, learn to speak Russian by watching channel 1, and drive Lada'a at 100 mph on Omktuskski streets in winter. If they think Pat Quinn is tough, wait for Russian practices on outdoor rinkswhere they scrape snow off the ice themselves before playing. I see the 300 lb.Russian girls waiting for him on their tractors. I've become an ugly American! ;D

And rich people in Russia buy the same luxury cars Americans do.
