Malkin and Olesz are high skilled forwards for sure. I don't see getting a top 5 pick this year though. Tukonen is who I'm hoping for, but I am going to watch Wes O'Neill play tonight, I've heard a lot of good things about him.

Any top ten list without Schremp is not a list.

Any top ten list without Schremp is not a list. It's redline, and they don't like Schremp's attitude. He still should go top 10, but not as high as he should much like O'Sullivan last year.

I think I would give my left nut to have Ovechkin in a Habs jersey come draft day

He's playing on an incredible team in London, and I believe he had 4 points last night in London's 11-1 win over Sarnia. It would have been nice for Linhart to stick around the winning environment.

I'm a bit confused, I've been looking at different sites about Ovechkin and they all have different positions for him. I'm pretty sure he played wing last year at the WJC but I've seen a site that put him at C. Is there any truth to that?

But like most young Russian forwards, he seems to be able to play center at this stage of his career.

I'm not sure we've got any chance of getting him unless we end the season in the bottom 10... It would be nice though, he would really solve our size problems down the middle while adding tons and tons of offense, kinda like a bigger Koivu with better scoring.

Russian (and other European) coaches often employ their best forwards at any one of the forward positions depending on the tactical advantage it provides.

Hmm, 7 of 10 from Eastern Europe. Actually, 6 of 10. Finland is in Northern Europe, not in Eastern Europe. And much more in the west than in the east culturally. Btw, who is that Ovechkin guy who is ranked first? Absolutely a surprise pick for being #1 in the rankings. Never heard. Who would have thought...

Ah; good ol' Woody and his bombastic predictions. While I expect a far greater European influence in the top half of this year's draft than last season, I'd be shocked if 6 are picked in the top ten. I'm sure by season's end he'll find pause to consider Schremp, McGrath, Dubnyk, Montana, et al.
