I put together a list of what teams would look like with players from the draft years 1990 through to 2000. There may be some missing, feel free to point them out. The newer expansion teams aren't there, for obvious reasons. Some teams I just couldn't find enough NHL'ers to fill a roster. They are not lines they're just made up of forwards and Defensemen, not necessarily at their proper position.

A bit of everything up front. Only thing missing would be a #1 center and put Connoly #2. D is rock solid, and goaltending is set. A mix of vets and youngsters. And a nice mix of skill and toughness.

Montreal Canadiens 1990-2000 Valeri Bure – Saku Koivu – Craig Conroy Brian Savage – Darcy Tucker – Jason Ward Aaron Asham – Michael Ryder – Mike Ribeiro Marcel Hossa – Oleg Petrov – Turner Stevenson Andrei Markov – Craig Rivet Stephane Robidas - Ron Hainsey Brett Clark – Rory Ftzpatrick Josee Theodore Mathieu Garon So it takes 10 years to build a solid team through the draft and we are halfway there (10 of those guys are still on our team)..... You've got Mike Rupp playing for NJ and NYI.

You've got Mike Rupp playing for NJ and NYI. That's probably because he was originally drafted by NYI but re-entered the draft and was picked by NJ. Probably the same with Boynton in Was. and BOS. But I think the poin of the exercise is to show who each team potentially could have on their team. Correct me if I'm wrong Chop.

When was Selanne drafted? There was also another russian whose name I dont recall who was better than so;e guys on the jets roster, but I dont recall his name... It started with a D. He got given away in the end and didnt make it on his nez team, but he was damn talented.

Some of the players show up on 2 teams because as Bandit said they were drafted by one team and re-entered the draft. Maybe for the Jets you're thinking of Evgeny Davidov. I'll have to look him up again, it's possible I missed him.

Comparing Toronto to Montreal ....... really shows how much better the leafs have utilized the free agent market, money and desparation, not withstanding.
